Akil competed in track and field at Division 2 Western State Colorado University where he was an All-American in the triple jump. From there he coached collegiately for 8 years at his Alma Mater Western State, University of Central Missouri, and Academy of Art University. This is where he was able to develop and mentor hundreds of athletes including: three National Champions, 17 All-Americans, and win two team National Championships.Presently, he resides in Gilbert, Arizona. He holds the NAMS-CPT certification and has been training athletes, no matter the skill level, reach their goals. Akil believes we are all athletes and we all should be able to play whatever we want the rest of our lives.Whether you need strength and conditioning for your sport, speed and agility training, technique for your upcoming track season, or just oveall fitness, Akil’s passion is, and will always be, developing and serving others.
